Of Crystals And Goblins

Part of Sarah desperately wanted to cry out in frustration as the goblin king revealed the straight path to the castle. <Why couldn’t he pull that one out my first time here?!> Granted it wouldn’t have made for much personal growth nor a good story to tell later, but it would have saved her a great deal of trouble.

“Is there a reason you came to call me back?” she asked lightly, “besides to obviously show me the folly of my walking my way through the whole labyrinth instead of using your short cuts?” Just as the king looked down at her, three small goblins ran under her feet and she clutched to his arm, looking down at them almost nervously.

“Queen lady’s back!” One shrieked, the other two stopped and gawped before all three raced off. Slowly releasing her grip on Jareth’s arm she arched an eyebrow.

“Queen…?”

-Jareth ((DUN DUN DUN~!!! LOL sorry if I am Ooc I am trying not to be too much…))

Jareth gave gave a fond smile, “Hush now,” he told her and hurried her towards the castle, glaring at the goblins, giving them a look than told them to shut their mouths or be thrown in the dungeon. He was a kind King, but he ruled the Labyrinth with an iron fist, being a fabulous villain, a wonderful ruler, and one hell of a romantic, though, in his state of depression, the kingdom was beginning to crumble while he wallowed in self pity, along with puddles of misery.

The Goblin King lead her into the castle, lifting his arm and gesturing with a flourish, around the castle, which was even more grand than the first time she’d visited, though nearly empty and a bit neglected looking. “Welcome to my oh-so-humble abode, Sarah.” The way he said her name, the way he looked at her when she wasn’t looking— they were signs of his lingering affection, not that he’d ever in his right— or wrong— mind admit it out loud.

Sarah

(( ooc; No, it’s fine. I’ve never roleplayed Jareth, so I’m probably doing terrible. ^^; ))

Of Crystals And Goblins

The brunette looked at his hand cautiously, then up at him, taking in everything about him that she could see. He looked exactly as she remembered him, just-…well she couldn’t really place it, there was something about him that was different, she just couldn’t put her finger on it.

Very slowly, as if on it’s own, her hand raised and came to rest in his grasp, her eyes never leaving him. What did she have to lose? Her family wasn’t at stake here; neither was her degree, or her life. Was there any harm in returning to the goblin kingdom for a short while?

“Can I come home if I choose?” she asked.

-Jareth

“You can have anything you wish for,” Was the soft answer he gave, as the sound of a bell tolling rang out, the world around them fading, twisting and changing until they were at the entrance to the Labyrinth. Jareth smiled and lead her into it, knowing she probably didn’t trust his intentions, but he simply knocked on a wall that opened up, a straight pathway from there to the castle being revealed. The blonde held out his arm for her to take, and walked down the ivy-laden lane, offering her a smile that was nothing short of dashing. “See, Sarah? No harm done.”
